Branalph

Branalph
| Name | Branalph |
|---|---|
| Status | Active |
| Occupation | Soldier, Einior and Caun of Losengriol |
| Age | Old |
| Race | Elf |
|---|---|
| Residence | Imladris |
| Kinship |
| Outward Appearance | Branalph has the black hair and grey eyes of most Noldor, as well as the striking height of one born in the First Age of the Sun and Moon. The black and white tabard covering his chain hauberk would be instantly identifiable to Imladris residents as that of the Order of the Hammer of Vanimar. Branalph listens more than he speaks, but cannot always hide his reactions -- often a smirk or laugh, contrary to his otherwise severe appearance. His voice is oddly soothing for someone in his profession. |

Background
Branalph served Finrod and Orodreth at Nargothrond. It is uncertain whether anyone else who served there would recognize him -- a simple foot soldier, Branalph resembled many others. Almost instantly upon their arrival, Branalph found he could not place faith in Celegorm and Curufin, although he was rather fond of Celegorm's dog. Then a young Man of a noble house proposed breaking the secrecy of the city, and building a bridge to face the might of Thangorodrim head on. History records how well that went. To this day, Branalph is a tiny bit tense around Men. And bridges. Why are there so many bridges in Imladris?
And yet, bridge-infested as the refuge is, Branalph has found a home and a few friends, and that pleases him. He has met a new friend and is working up the courage to introduce her to his pet goat.
| Loves | A day off to explore the woods, especially if a scout like Arradril can guide him |
|---|---|
| Hates | Bridges. Why would you build a bridge there? Not a fan of young Men who think they have brilliant ideas. |
| Motivation | Rooting out the Shadow and hitting it with a hammer |
| Quotes | "A most peculiar custom." |
