| Outward Appearance | Approximately 5'6, possessed of wide shoulders and a good degree of well-toned muscle, this woman is clearly not slothful. She sports a crest of deep red hair, shaved on either side of her head and hastily cut short at the back. Blue-green eyes are set deep in a strong-featured face with a straight nose and plump lips. Her attire tends to be well-made and sturdy, but somewhat worn and usually mud - sometimes blood - spattered. She habitually carries a slightly battered, but clearly cared-for, longsword. Something about her, perhaps the calculation in her cool gaze or the self-assurance with which she carries herself, suggests that she knows exactly how to use it. |

Background
Varani grew up in Rohan as the youngest of seven siblings, and one half-sibling.
Stubborn but dutiful, she knew from an early age that she wished to be a warrior of some sort. She subsequently badgered, cajoled, persuaded and charmed her brothers or family friends into teaching her what she needed to know.
Sent by her father to track down her older half-sibling at a mere fifteen years old, Varani spent ten years doggedly following in Sairona's footsteps, always finding herself just a few days behind her prey.
The completion of her mission brought with it a whole host of new lessons and realisations. She returned to Rohan to report the outcome to her father but departed again shortly thereafter.
Although somewhat on the insular side, she nevertheless met several interesting people along her travels. One such was Braxdan of Bree-land, a man with whom she fell in love. Perhaps she'll even tell him that someday...
