Born in Dol Amroth to a mother of questionable reputation, father unknown (to her). 5 when her mother died, ended growing up rough in the streets, begging and stealing to survive.

Caught trying to free a friend from the Dol Amroth prison. The fact that she almost succeeded drew notice, and Ananni was presented to Prince Imrahil. He offered her freedom, education and pay, in exchange for her talent to make use of the shadows.

Unbeknown to Ananni, Prince Imrahil believes her to be the illegitimate daughter of a dear friend of his, a man of reckless yet amiable nature, who had fallen for the beauty of a woman of low standing, fathered a daughter, then tragically died before being able to secure his child's future. This is partly the reason why Prince Imrahil favours Ananni, yet he also has come to genuinely admire her for her intelligence and spirit.

Smart and resourceful, Ananni is a great asset to the Prince. She still has street contacts, as well as just generally understands the life of those born lesser. Few locks can keep her out, and she has proven a master of gathering information for the Prince. He will send her out in his service whenever he worries about another's loyalty to Gondor, using her talents to try keep Gondor safe from traitors.

Ananni holds a somewhat unofficial officer rank. The Prince has requested for her to attend court life in Dol Amroth when she is not otherwise engaged, to keep her eyes and ears open, but also because he hopes she will eventually find acceptance among the nobles, a hope he is aware to be slim, but he banks on time as his ally. However, rumours about the leader of the Rangers of the North have sparked the Prince's interest, and with a heavy heart he has decided to send Ananni on her longest mission yet. She is to travel to Bree, to find out more about this man, who could possibly have a right to the Throne of Gondor.

A dangerous journey, leading Ananni far away from her beloved shores, but she is determined as always to serve her Prince and homeland.

Ananni almost obsessively guards her virginity, having sworn to not follow the footsteps of her mother, and to possibly end with a child out of wedlock. Her beauty has drawn much attention, but she cares little for shallow flattery. She will rather be found in spare time indulging in reading history books, deeply grateful the Prince had her tutored in reading and writing.
Learning is a true passion of hers.

'Black Swan' is the pet name, Prince Imrahil has given to her, in reference to her ability to make use of the shadows.
