| Age | 24 |

| Residence | Bree-town |

| Outward Appearance | ![]() Standing at a mere 5' 6", Eylis Tierney would appear to you (at first glance) as if she has not a care in the world; occasionally tucking some of her hair behind her ear, looking around her surroundings with a distinct lack of concern for almost anything at all. She has a thin and delicate figure, though if she wants to she can throw a painful punch.
Her hair is a shade of copper-red, often fastened into a neat ponytail at the back of her head, if not kept safe under one of her hats. Below her fringe (which covers her forehead) sit two blue eyes, accompanied by a neat brow. Down her face just a little further, her thin nose is carved between her freckled cheeks, which accompany her slender mouth.
One striking feature which may catch your attention straight away is her slightly dilated pupils, which she can be seen with more often than not. The stronger presence of black within her blue eyes would be rather attractive, as intended, and may even be accompanied by a faint sparkle in the sclera of her eyes. Why her pupils are like this would remain a mystery to anyone not well-versed in herbs and medicinal plants, and even those who hold such knowledge would only be able to guess.

Background
Birth
Eylis was born into a wealthy family in Buckland. Her Father, who went by the name of "Mr. Jewel" (for reasons Eylis never quite understood), would spend most of his time wandering from town to town selling valuable and important wares; where her father got these wares to sell was also a mystery to Eylis, though it put plenty of bread on the table. Her Mother, unlike Mr. Jewel, spent little of her life far from the save riverside town of Buckland, and instead took it upon her to care for Eylis, who was her only child.
Childhood
Known to some as "The child who had everything", Eylis had a relatively easy childhood. She worked hard, and spent her time enjoying the privileges of living in such a beautiful place as Buckland; fishing, rowing boats, enjoying the outdoors, and simply living peacefully. Even after her mother died of an illness that no doctor, given however much money, could cure, she still resumed her leisurely activities only a little more solemnly.
By the age of ten, Eylis was happily caring for her sick mother (who only had a few months left), fishing, cooking, and looking out for her when Mr. Jewel was out on his big walks around the Shire.
Teen-years
It was at the age of Thirteen that Eylis suffered her harshest blow. Not too long after the celebration of her first teen, Mr. Jewel (her father, if you had forgotten) set off on another adventure around the shire, this time with more valuable treasures than ever before. He was scheduled to return a few months later, which was no problem as Eylis was now used to being left to care for herself (which was no difficult task in Buckland!). However, the months went by, one after the other, and there was no word or sign or sound from her father.
It was by her fourteenth birthday that Eylis decided he would not return. Solemnly, she continued her life in Buckland. Quietly, nimbly, and almost without any recognition from others, she gathered her father's money and resumed her life, yet again, after the death of a parent.
The years of the Wolds
Now hold your horses! Let not the title of this section fool you. Eylis was, by no means, ever to be considered a Ruffian, or to be associated with them. But, what events occur later in Eylis' life are far from the noteworthy beauty of her time growing up in Buckland; some may even say it was only now that her growing up began.
Shortly after reaching the age of sixteen, Eylis was accustomed to the easy life she had handed to her; too accustomed. She decided to venture to Bree-town. As a child, Mr. Jewel's adventures had always interested her, and it was at the age of sixteen that she was to go on an adventure with him. So, in the spur of the moment, she packed her bags and money (that she had been happily earning and saving over the years), and organized a life in Bree. Through a series of several letters, she bought a small cottage on the outskirts of the town, and arranged to have all of her belongings sent to the address before she arrived there, giving her the opportunity to walk from A to B, just as her father had done.
It was a Tuesday that she set out, and it was a Thursday that it became clear she would not reach Bree-town. After two days of her slow walk to Bree, several hooded figures, dressed in red and black, approached her on the path...
...of course, this is not the end, and indeed she did find a way out of this sittuation. However, now is not the time to tell this story.
