About two years ago, he and his brother Galeryn left Mirkwood together with their parents to journey to Imladris. In the mountains Gileryn's parents met with an ill fate thanks to orcs. This left the twins stranded. They were both found by soldiers of Imladris on patrol, and brought back to the safety of the valley.

 He becomes frustrated with healers quite quickly, as they often ask " How are you feeling?" when he is quiet. He sometimes has trouble sorting through his feelings, thus does not always know how to answer and has been known to simply walk away from such questions.

Gileryn and his twin Galeryn are both rather lively when together. However on his own in unfamiliar settings, Gileryn becomes somewhat quiet around crowds and keeps mostly to himself unless spoken to. Once he warms up to someone he is friendly and talkative, but this is rare in groups of any more than two.

Out of the two twins, Gileryn is the more rebellious one. Jumps first, asks questions later. Gileryn has a rather quick temper. While Galeryn tends to be more patient and think things through.

He and Galeryn are affectionately referred to as "The Cardinal Twins" among most Elven soldiers due to their tendency to wear red, their abundance of energy and bright disposition when together, as well as their penchant for fresh bread. A sachel of which he carries on his belt.

Orcs and Goblins of the mountains fear the Peredhel Twins of Imladris, Wargs and Spiders will learn to fear the Cardinal Twins of Mirkwood once this elf is grown.

•Personality•

Gileryn is not known for his humility, he is also somewhat of a brat. He does not always consider the repercussions of his actions, and will often act brashly. He has very little patience with himself and his temper is quick to flare up when he feels strongly about a topic.  Gileryn is more prone to estranging himself from people than making emotional connections. He did not handle the deaths of his parents well, and fears such a hurt happening again. Who he befriends relies heavily on what mood he happens to be in when he meets them.

Gileryn also quickly becomes overwhelmed by his emotions when they become overly strong, and tries to distance himself from them and what causes them as a way to deal with these feelings, leaving him with a cold demeanor. This tendency is most prevalent with fear. He is particularly quiet around groups of elves more than three Unless they reveal themselves to be of Mirkwood. He's known to linger by stern soldiers. This is often because the disciplined soldiers do not make him feel smothered. They are oft the people he finds are content to let him stay quiet when he is not in the mood to talk, but wants company.

For those willing to brave this child's prickly and occasionally unpredictable demeanor, he is actually a bit of a mischief maker. He loves to play music and games and is often full of questions. He is quite inquisitive once something catches his attention, at least until his curiosity is sated or something else catches his interest.

Despite these flaws, Gileryn is a fiercely loyal to those he chooses to call friend.
