As she packed her journal and last few belongings into her bag, EllaD looked around the bare room that had been her home for the last few seasons. “Time to move on again” she sighed. Never quite content with the stability that had been offered to her on multiple occasions, an opportunity to return to Eriador had arisen, and she did not have to think twice. Speaking with the Lady Adiwen over the last few weeks had awoken that familiar feeling within her that she was ready to make a move. Thankfully, the Lady was also open to a travelling companion, and even had the funds and contacts to ensure that reasonably safe passage could be ensured.
Closing the door and moving down the corridor, passing her landlord and temporary employer on the way, a mutual nod was exchanged. “If you are ever passing by this way again Elladoraa, you make sure to call in, okay?” As he spoke, he touched her arm gently, affectionately. EllaD just smiled. “Hmmm. Will do” she said as she rearranged her bag on her shoulder and moved down the stairs. She had enjoyed her stay here, but this chapter was over and it was time to move on.
Strapping her satchel to her horse, before heading to meet Lady Adiwen at the gates, EllaD took one last look at the hilled city and the grand Meduseld, reflecting in the sun. Breathing deeply she smiled as she remembered the people she had met and the conversations that had taken place here. “Come on Iduna,” she said, producing an apple for her appreciative friend, and giving her a firm stroke, “we have quite a journey ahead. We had best be away.”
