Swefenclide's Diary

Author:
Swefenclide Waterbury,

This chronicle is a compilation of all the diary entries of Swefenclide as a means to record his travels in the Middle Earth. Since the chronicle tries to replicate the pages of the journal that he uses, some pages may include poems, scribbles, and (probably) folklores heard, made, or experienced by the author himself.

Articles Of The Dwarrow - Part 4

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

Dear Turuviel,

we are finally home! Though you are not here, unfortunately, so i write this to you in hope of someday it being read by you.

The last leg of our journey from the south Trollshaws back home was probably more exciting than we would imagine!
It all started in the morning when Arradril noticed insects, lots of insects, buzzing around seemingly without an explanation of their origin.
I tried to dismiss this as irrelevant, or perhaps owing to the too hot summer that we'd been having. But somehow, in the back of my head, it kept nagging at me.

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

Dear Turuviel,

there have been a long few days on the road from Bree when i wrote to you last.
We are now close to home, in an encampment in the Trollshaws where we can almost smell the warm fires of our House. Almost there, one more push!

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

Dear Turuviel,

how distant the memory of Duillond is and it's not even that long ago that we have dined and rested there before we continued our journey.
Duillond being the usual stop before Celondim on my usual route, i know the traders and horse masters quite well. Therefore i could secure enough horses for everything, even a few spares plus all needed supplies and food.

Articles Of The Dwarrow - Part 1

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

Dear Turuviel,

you were right in urging me onwards to Thorin's Hall and i did make it just in the nick of time.

When i received word of the expedition to the dwarves, i had just arrived at Celondim with the group i was guiding. Your encouragement to press onward changed my mind and, without rest, i pushed for Thorin's.

Our kinsmen were already there for a long while as I arrived the night before the scheduled departure. But i did have time to enjoy the dwarves' ale.

A neat and measured scrawl drifts along the parchment in easy strokes--well-practiced, it is a hand fond of written correspondence. At times, it's perfection gives way to a touch of carelessness, as the thoughts relayed grow in their intensity. Pinned to the entry is a cluster of three dried violets.
