Bramba Hedgerows
| Name | Bramba |

| Outward Appearance | Bramba is very much a typical hobbit in appearance with dark skin betraying her Harfoot roots and bright green eyes. She describes herself as 'cuddly' or 'pleasantly plump' rather than fat and generally has a smile on her face, when she is not filling it with muffins. In fact a stray crumb or two can usually be found in the corners of her mouth.

Background
Bramba was born in the Marish to poor parents. Her father was a part time farm labourer and full time drunkard. From a young age Bramba supplemented the stew pot with offerings taken from nearby farms, generally without the farmer's knowledge or permission. After her mother's death she ran away to Bree and changed her name to Hedgerows (her mother's maiden name) to seek her fortune. It was in Bree she learned that hobbit cooking sells like, well, like hot cakes. She supplemented her income by singing comic songs in the Comb & Wattle and the Prancing Pony and there learned an impressive vocabulary of words which would make more stay-at-home hobbits blush. She also learned a lot about the big people, not all of it complementary, including the necessity of standing up to bullies and ruffians. The sight of a hobbit lass squaring up to a swarthy southerner while armed only with a rolling pin is comical right up to the point said rolling pin makes firm contact with an unprotected kneecap.
Now comfortably off, she makes a good living off of her muffins and other baked goods and finds time to go off on "adventures like that Mad Baggins had" which generally involves traveling with dwarven trade caravans as the cook which lets her see exotic foreign places in relative safety.
Her adventurous ways and store of bawdy songs make her something of an oddity when she visits the Shire (which she does often but rarely stays for long). to her dismay it also seems to scare off promising young hobbit lads who appreciate the muffins but not the camping trips to Lake Evendim.
