For many years, she would feel uncomfortable in the dwellings of her kind, as though the loss of the sky produced a somber mood. She would avoid such meetings for long and only gather with friends when it was necessary. It was not until she lost one of those dearset to her, a close friend, that she realised how important relationships were. It made her rethink life and cherish the ones she still had. As a result, Himwen is extremely loyal to those close to her. She will try her utmost to bring humour and laughter into the lives of those around her, even to the point of acting silly. If that means having to use innovative and at times, living things, she will not hesitate to try and bring out a laugh.

 

Himwen left Lothlorien at the behest of her teacher and mentor Wenyalisse and on her travels she met many friends. Because she was brought up in a less than social setting, it took her many years of training, but thanks to her dear friend Aelaer, she was able to relinquish the feeling of helplessness and exposure social events brought on. For long, dancing was feared more than any enemy she would meet on the battle field. That is, until she met her loving husband, Tindir. He was the one who brought her out of that shell, who showed her how enjoyable dancing could be. 

 

Later on, she joined the house of Bar en Vanimar, the house of her husband. The adventures she came to embark upon both before taking the oath and after shaped her to be the one she is today. Still a feisty warrior, but now with a deeper understanding of life in Middle Earth. She joined the order of the Hammer and learned how to walk in formation with others, how to (sometimes) obey orders of her superiors, but most of all, she got the chance to impart some of the knowledge she had gained during her travels and from the companies she had fought with in the past.

 

Recently Himwen was promoted to captain of the order of the Fountain. She accepted the mantle and vowed to protect and serve the house of Bar en Vanimar alongside the other orders.
