Early this morning I arrived back at the house, with massive joy finding that Edani was there with Eogler. She was sick though, very sick, and Eogler begged me to help her. Using what I could find in the house I managed to mix a cleansing draught against the posion, and to my actual surprise it seemed to work.
Later on I by complete accident came across her in the Prancing Pony, talking to a human man I had never seen before. I told her she should still be resting, but she claimed to be more then well enough. I decided to leave her to it and had a look around the inn on my own and rather accidentally ran into a room with two elven men. I did not intend to, but ended up starting to converse with them. Until the man from the other day, Craign, and another human man came up behind me, speaking of me. "Her, she's the one I saw" Craign said, and the other man walked up to me, buffing up and called me a "Legion whore". I was surprised by the encounter, but remained calm and very truthfully just said "I am with them to protect my brother." Craign then turned to the other man and told him "She's just an elf, clearly she can't sympathize with them" and then walked off. The other man seemed to disagree though, staying with me for a minute, continuing to spew words of despise before finally walking away. I then decided to leave the room and returned to the main room, finding that in the inn was now also several others of my kin, among them Kelinor. We did not talk much, but I noticed him speaking to the very same man who had spoken so rudely to me. I was about to approach them, but one of the men from before approached me and we started talking. Aladrian was his name, he told me, and this is where things started getting.. confusing.
Not long into our conversation he started asking me about my name, about my mother and family. I answered truthfully but rather reserved, not sure why he was so curious to find out. His eager for information rose, and as he found out my age he widened his eyes, feezing immobile as if in shock. Whilst all of this happened, Kelinor was walking around telling everyone to gather up in the house. Curious as to what Aladrian was after I rather airily just told him I would come after him later. And then, after Kelinor and the others had left the inn, Aladrian spoke the strangest words to me.
"I think I'm your father" he said.
Not in any way believing his words, shocked to hear such nonsese, he did his best to explain and prove to me that he was not lying while I did the same to prove he was. Desperate to find out who this fool of a man was, I asked him who he was, where was he from, who were his parents? Through this I found out that he was the son of Teremonth and Iverwen. It didn't take me long to remember where I had heard these names before, reading through the notes about Loor Turindriel that are in the house. And by ths, it got too much, and I just rushed out. But he followed me and stopped me on the stairs outside.
"Then please tell me; at what time was your father supposedly away at war?"
Right then and there I thought my heart stopped beating. I cannot believe I had never realized this before... At the time I must have been "made", my parents could not possibly have been together. Actually, by logically going through time, at that time they had just recently got to know each other. But I still refused to believe him, convulsively holding onto my part of the story; That this stranger was NOT my father, but Nostarion Sinblade, the husband of my mother and the man who had raised me.
I turned, and walked away, down to the stables and rode towards the house, all caught up in emotions. When I got there I was still in shock, still devastated but entered even if I knew it would be full of people. What I first saw was Kelinor stood with the human from the inn, the rude one, and a few members scattered around the main room. I remained in the background, struggling to stay gathered, and eventually Kelinor gathered us all up to speak to us. He introduced the human, Ostui, and explained that he was the only living relitive of Loor Turindriel. Knowing who I had just met, and who his parents were, this made me react but restrain. I said nothing about what I knew and a few minutes of Kelinor speaking passed, of what I had no concious of, until I noticed Aladrian peering through the door. Without thought I turned and walked upstairs but soon forced myself to go back down. I instantly just walking up to Aladrian, ignoring that he was talking to Kelinor, and ordered him to leave. I don't know for sure, but I think everyone turned to me then, wondering why I was saying so to the man who I, as I would later on realize, had just revealed that he was Loor Turindriels grandson. "He's a liar", I said, weak and insecure but struggling to appear determined. "He claims to be my father.."
After that I honestly don't know much of what happened. My heart was racing, my mind so over worked. But I got outside, however, and allowed Aladrian to speak to me for a moment. During this he asked me to look him in the eyes and somehow gave me a vision. I saw him with my mother, and... I saw him leave, hearing my mothers crying voice telling him "Make sure you come back, for our child's sake."
I can't do this. I have to stop.. Looking back at these things makes me feel the same I did then, if not worse. And I know what else needs to be written down will be even worse...
[The ink from the last words are slightly smeared, showing that she had quickly shown the book before it had dried]
