The Fourth Age: Battle of Annuminas

When the day of the battle came, both of the rangers rejoined their companions in their own way. Forngarmo stayed away from the main group, keeping herself to the shadows as she slowly sneaked through the city, while Padrasul joined the main group in their attack by the docks. All seemed to go well on their way as they kept moving through in search of their cauptured ally, Thandanar. He was found later on, in one of the enemy tents. The group managed to free him without the ranger's help. She watched the company get reunited but has never shown herself up. Forngarmo seemed happy with her allies being safe once again - or so she thought until another throng of Angmarim and their vicious allies emerged from within the city and encircling the company. Forngarmo stayed hidden just in case she could help and protect their companions using her skills and the element of surprise. She spotted a huge troll coming with their enemies and looked for an opportunity to attack it. As the company kept fighting, the ranger heard the Black Speech once again, which angered her. This language was always a trigger to her. That was when she spotted enemies charging towards unaware Nethillon and her son, Faethuil. She quickly moved up onto the debris and thrown two of her knives with a deadly precision, felling the enemies before they could injure her friend and son. She looked around just in case she could be for any further help and have seen her friend, Aelwynna fighting another enemy while others attempted to attack her from the back, she moved quickly and blocked the blows aimed at her friend, protecting her the best way she could. The two briefly smiled at each other before engaging back in the fight. Faethuil, however seemed embarassed with his mother's help during the fight but he knew he was doing best that he could. As Forngarmo saw that the tide of the battle has been turned, she decided to go back into the shadows as there was no further need for her help. That was until when she was spotted by Belenir's son - Achelarion.
- Oi! We're in the middle of a battle where ya heading? We need you! - She heard his words and then decided to rejoin the army. Nethillon looked at her, giving her a sudden and tight embrace as he was happy with the reunion. She embraced him back then as he released her, she turned to Aelwynna that was now on her knees. She extended a hand towards her to help her get back up.
- Thank you for not leaving us. - She then said towards Forngarmo.
- I said that I will be only slightly less protective, not that I will leave you alone... - The ranger then answered, looking up at her and smiling faintly from under her mask. Aelwynna seemed happy with Forngarmo's answer and hugged the ranger tightly before they glanced back to Achelarion for further instructions. Soon they have defeated the enemies within the city but without any sign of their commander. They reached the bridge and stairs leading to the island of Tyl Annun. As they crossed the bridge and ascended the stairs, they reached Ost Elendil, only to be met with another horrifying and deafening occurrence that brought them to their knees. The remaining Angmarim army stood in a shield wall stance, flanked by the imposing figure of the Titan of Tyl Annun. At the helm was Toragol, the leader of the army riding a silvery drake, alongside him a loyal servant of Asaschal, the sorceress. The company stared at the dragon in terror, however Forngarmo was only focused on slaying such a strong foe but her thoughts seemed broken as she saw Aelwynna being drawn towards the sorcerer and instantly recalled her promise. She moved closer to her friend, just in case that she would need to keep her away from their enemy. The army attacked once again to purge the remaining angmarim and their commander from the city. The ranger attempted to rush and make an opening for the rest of the fighters alongside her companions but as she turned around, her shoulder was pierced by an arrow which made her stumble. Gladly Aelwynna seemed to still be near her. She leaned down when it was safe enough to do so.
- Forngarmo, how bad is it? Can I pull it out? - she asked her and the ranger nodded.
- Do it... - She answered then bit on her cloak to avoid screaming in pain while her friend pulled out the arrow and took care of the wound. When the necessary things were done, Forngarmo, with her arm slightly immobile has rejoined the battle using her left, intact arm. The battle however did not last long for her. When she tried to catch up with the others the dragon sent out a bunch of lightning bolts. One of them hit Forngarmo who dropped instantly in her tracks, losing consciousness.

She did not know how much time has passed since the battle but after all the time in the darkness she felt a gust of wind on her face once again. The ranger slowly began to regain her consciousness.
- Thank heavens... Padrasul, Duchann, Aelwynna... you did this... - She recognized her son's whispers around her. She opened her eyes once again, confused on how she got here, then saw a stranger coming towards her. She was not able to move but was wary about the new person.
- How are you feeling? - The woman then asked her.
- Who.. are you? - The ranger answered silently, still mistrustful.
- Do not worry about who I am. I am a friend of your friends. Can you move? - The stranger asked her once again. Forngarmo tried to move but failed to sit up. She groaned during her try, then her son helped her to sit up slightly, leaning on the wall. The woman nodded.
- Very well, do not force yourself much. You are lucky to be still alive. Take your time. Since you seem mistrustful towards me, my name is Duchann Miss. - Duchann then identified herself, smiling slightly at the injured ranger.
- Forngarmo... - The ranger then answered, introducing herself briefly.
- Wish we have met under bettter circumstances. I will not bother you for now, Miss Forngarmo. - Duchann answered, acknowledging her name and leaving her to rest. The ranger stayed still and quiet since that moment until she looked to her side and felt Aelwynna holding her hand.
- Forngarmo! I am gladdened to see your eyes open. Do you need anything? Water, tea? - she spoke towards her.
- I would not say no to a sip of water, dear. Glad to see you are alright. - Forngarmo answered, being glad to see that her friend made it back from the battle safely. She helped the ranger to drink then as Forngarmo was done, she looked back at Aelwynna.
- Thank you, my friend.." - She said quietly.
- Rest up, friend. Annuminas is ours! - Aelwynna then informed her about the battle result, brushing hair from her forehead. The ranger smiled briefly at her. - I will be nearby if you need anything. I'll check up on you soon. - her friend then added and as she walked away, the ranger closed her eyes once again, falling asleep.
