Chronicle Summary

Varothomir Uilossen is far from his home of Gondor. As such, so that his tales are recorded, he frequently writes to his family; both his Mother and Brother in Minas Tirith as well as his sister serving with the Ranger of Ithilien. In return, they write to him about what is going on in Gondor This is a collection of letters from both perspectives.

Chronicle Content

This is a collection of letters that Varothomir has written to members of his family and vice versa. They account his adventures with the Black Steel and his own exploration and findings within Elessar's Kingdom of Arnor at the end of the Third Age. The first letter, which Varothomir sent to his brother, Orelion, accounts the company's skirmish through an Arnorian tomb underneath the Greenway Fort, north of Bree.

On the other hand, the letters from the rest of the Uilossen family inform Varothomir of what is happening in Gondor, such as Orelion giving insight into Gondor's recovery after the War of the Ring and Ivorien's journeys with the Rangers of Ithilien.

These letters were originally written in Sindarin, but have been translated into Westron.
