| Outward Appearance | Aelir of Imladris holds herself with utmost grace. She stands tall and proud, like her Noldo father before her. Her hair is as brown as the bark of an oak tree, a gift from her Sindar mother. Her eyes are blue like a clear pool. She wears robes and gowns of the finest quality, though when travelling she may be in attire less formal. A silver circlet with a ruby stone in the centre can usually be found on top of her head. A wooden staff is often upon her back. Upon her index finger of her right hand, is a band of gold with a beautiful etched leaf. This ring symbolises her marriage to the honourable Lord of the Laiquendi, Eglanel. |

Background
Aelir was born in the middle of the Second Age to Doronîr of the Noldor and Aeliel of the Sindar. She was one of the first children born within the newly founded Imladris. Her parents previously lived in Eregion. When it fell, they fled along with many of their kindred and Elrond Halfelven to the valley. There they settled for a life of peace, though they found no solace. Aelir's parents longed for the West.
Doronîr and Aeliel sailed for Valinor when Aelir had reached her first milennia. Her sisters Azrali and Eleny decided to remain behind with her. Aelir was saddened to see her parents leave, and spent many long years alone, wandering, or spending many hours within the library of Lord Elrond. She did not have a desire to sail so much, she longed to gain knowledge and see the world. Reading is Aelir's favourite pass time. She particularly enjoys studying history. She also likes to explore ruins and examine relics. She longs to see more of the world and travel, like her sisters. Aelir is more introverted than the two.
Her days of loneliness would eventually come to an end. Whilst on a trip in Celondim, she discovered someone at the docks playing the harp so beautifully. When he turned around, she realised she knew who it was, by face. She had seen Lord Eglanel in the libraries of Imladris many a time. She often observed him behind her books and tomes, not having the courage to speak to him. This meeting however, she finally did. They travelled together for many weeks and Love was born within their hearts. The two are now wedded.
Aelir accepted Eglanel's offer to join his Order and together they travelled. Just a few months after their wedding, Aelir was pregnant. She and her husband both decided it would be best to sail West, to Valinor. There they could raise their child in peace, where no shadow could claim the baby.
Aelir now lives in peace with her husband and relatives, awaiting the birth of her child. She will never return to Middle Earth, but her memory will live on through her sisters and those she befriended.
