An Unlikely Champion, Part 2, Interlude 2

Samhain

Samhain marks the end of the old year and the beginning of the new. The boundary between the world of the living and the Otherworld grows thin. Masks and disguises are worn to either confuse or blend in with unquiet spirits.

Great bonfires--for protection, purification, and remembrance--are lit to mark the season. Folk gather around them to share stories and honour those who have passed.
