Page 1: Black smoke rising

The raid went good, we attacked  the bandit's camp and managed to make them disperse, unluckily the leader escaped, Athlenah's father as it seems. He was shouting at his men all the time but when his time came he disappeared, what a leader... I wonder why our prisoner was that loyal to him... I am sure we'll meet him again and I will make sure that I will learn why!

Now I have to travel where the Barracks where, when I sent them out to find a prisoner a message arrived, the Barracks were burning... How? Why? Who? I can still see the thin black smoke rising in the distance, as I did before questioning the bandit. I am almost sure it's not them, they didn't know we'd attack and they certainly don't know who we are, unless Athlenah told her so-called friend about us. I will ask her and learn soon, for now they all deserve some rest.

The fight was harsh but we prevailed, now they are at the Prancing Pony, or any other inn to rent a room to rest... At least I took the bandits' chest for the Order's expenses, that'll pay the rooms and their comfort, they do deserve it. Some of them still have a big mouth but now that they training is over it seems that we will have to get to work to learn who burned the Barracks, so all that talk will stop, one way or the other...

They will either see that it's really hard to fight and kill and respect that and be serious or they will die. It's simple.

They all fought well and it was good to fight alongside Arthasdir again after all this time, I am glad he's alive. Aeirillen fought well, she's an Elf, how could she not! Athlenah was too overwhelmed but she did good. And Lieta, oh Lieta!  She could be my daughter, she joined us to be the cook, she's sixteen years old, but fights as if she has been traiinng for years, despite me showing her only some things, the basics mostly. She grasped it well and now it's coming natural to her, I took a liking to her at first, now it's almost love, but love of another kind. Of the kind where you have someone under your protection and they almost become your blood, you teach them what you can and be there for them like family does. I cannot describe it in words.

I don't know how it is to have a child and maybe it's far from what I feel from her but still, it's like she is my blood. I will protect her and teach her as best I can! I want her to be safe always, having to fight and kill  will change her, I wouldn't want that but that's her choice. And I shall be by her side.
