Journal entry: IV: The northern border

Its been a few days now that I have set myself up north near the borders of my homeland.
After my adventure with Fiontann and my old friends I realized that there might be more in play that even I am aware of. As such was the case I went to inspect the northern border and was shocked to find out of the infestation of orc that had settled along the border in North Bree-land.
As of such I decided to take some time away from Ost Barandor and the Brandywood, leaving it in Eorthel's trustworthy hands.
I had Ayiana by my side after all... she is all I need to have an advantage over my enemy.
We staked out the many camps for several days, noting down patrols and such that the orcs made during both day and night.
After a few days we decided it was time to strike. First we took down the patrols, then the smaller camps and eventually the larger ones. I barely even needed my spear to defend myself. Alongside my own archery I had that of Ayiana to keep me covered, that alone was enough to quickly dispatch of the orcs in most of the smaller camps. The larger one was a bit more difficult. If it had not been for Ayiana's back-up I probably would not have managed to pull it off.
As her former mentor I can't even describe how proud I am of what she has become. And of her determination to keep bettering herself.

For now the Northern borders are calmed again....
However... For how long, I can not say for sure.
