Journal Entry 13 : The Barrow Downs Expedition, Day IV

The Barrow Downs Expedition, Day IV

I got about three hours sleep last night, which is more than I had expected. That unsettling feeling has yet to pass.

When day broke, we made our way deeper in to the Barrow Downs, cutting a path towards the edge of the Old Forest.

The Barrow Downs is full of strange protrusions, as well as cairns marking burial sites. This is a place of death and sorrow. The air is heavy and thick with mist and the foul odour has only grown stronger.

Despite nothing of note happening, I just cannot shake this feeling of dread.

We are camped at the forest's border, even the trees seem strange. I am no coward...but I do not like it here.

I begin to grow unnaturally tired...but I have had very little sleep thus far; I am sure it is nothing. One of the hunters has volunteered for watch duty, so I will try and get some sleep soon.
