War in the North

Eriador has been a relatively peaceful land, the hobbits farmed their lands in the shire, the Dwarves dwelled in their lands in the mountains, the men traded in their town of Bree. They all concerned themselves with business, and feasts, ah, well, it was a peaceful time. But strange tidings have brought all to a standstill, as eyes and ears turned north. Word is, that the Legions of Angmar, who was long thought defeated ages ago, is preparing for war. The Rangers that kept watch over these lands were taken aback at the ferocity of the orc tribes, in their fierce occupation of the North-Downs. Bands of Angmarim even aim to conquer Evendim, though the valiant Rangers and their allies stand fast against them, with sword and bow. The Free Men of the North Downs have been injured greatly, having fallen back to Trestlebridge, where they hold the orc invaders at bay. Though stirring news also follows, that the Hillmen of Rhudaur have also been stirring, though all seem to have an odd idea of what these secretive folk are up to...The War of the North is begun, who will survive?
