From winter till Spring
For the first time I can remember we have parted ways, the Mithdirith have two paths they will walk till spring. Heartfelt fond fair wells as brother and sister in kin go their separate ways. Lin Giliath was a point of parting this time.
My Lord Curugirion led a smaller company West to the coast, in Aearandir’s face I could see the yearn to walk the deck of Gwingriel a twinkle in his eye as we made ready.
I was tasked with Leading the other company, to the hidden vale, Imladris. Only one of us had frequented the vale often, Galvathalion, yet he seemed distant in thought for a good portion of our journey, other things clearly on his mind. Hwethlenn and Hallothel made excellent work of scouting ahead of our vale bound company, rarely did we encounter anything unsavoury save for a wondering Eldar whom sought to return safely to Imladris. Ellethgil would make me smile upon every glance, the two ear of a rabbit she had befriended poking out from one of the saddle bags always seemed to amuse me.
Our journey was thankfully uneventful in any dire way, once again Hallothel and Hwethlenn did an outstanding job and worked excellently as a team. I foresee Hwethlenn’s training is nearing an end soon. I only wonder if in her mind she is ready.
We have been in the Vale a month now, everyone is visibly more relaxed, I have seen them all from time to time reflecting and taking the time due to them for rest and recuperation. Though as of yet I have had little chance to spend time with Hallothel save for some important words shared only a week ago.
I feel a sense of contentment yet deep responsibility, I hope I prove Curugirion and Aearandir’s trust and faith in me. I have had the chance to catch up with Lord Earinlin, whom represents the Flower here in the Vale, twas only my second encounter with him and his Lady, Amorith. He has a pleasant gentleness and very approachable, his Lady was as the rumours were told, an utter delight, dare I say as fair as the Golden trees.
We will not reconvene the Flower till Spring, till then we are here, so I wish to make the best of the time, in rest and for some, Training.
